...has been filled with lots of readings, getting to know new people, exploring Vancouver and enjoying the last bits of summer.
I finally went to the Michael's store. YAY. The store is pretty big and you only have to take one bus to get there. Easy peasy (especially if you have google maps + public transit option.) The yarn choice was pretty disappointing - 99% of the yarns are wool blends with acrylic, polyamide etc. But there's a yarn store only about 15mins from UBC that I'll check out next week - when they have a knit night :)

I love walking around campus at night - so peaceful.

I tend to be rather lazy in the morning and prefer to have breakfast in my room. I'd be sarved by the time I showerd, got ready and walked to the dining hall. So my breakfast pretty much always consists of cereals, oatmeal and (very very seldomly) some fruit. I really need to find a grocery store with 'cheap' fruits. The prices on/near campus are ridiculous - $2,50 for one pound of apples??!

Today I went to Gastown, a really beautiful neighborhood. We found an amazing coffee shop with the best chocolate chip cookies ever. And the hot chocolate Elizabteh got looked lovely :)

This cute little device has saved my life at least a hundred times since I got it. I don't know how I survived twenty years without a phone with GPS. It's truly life saving. And on campus you have wifi pretty much everywhere which is really handy if you wanna look up a word on the internet or google concepts your professor doesn't explain comprehensively. Also, it is pretty sweet to have a camera with you all the time.

Last weekend we went to the night market in Richmond - which was pretty disappointing and all the things one could buy were cheap fake things from China. They aso had lots of food stalls (for people who like coleoidea - go there, they have tons of them. In all different sizes)

Also, I've been working on my 30 Days of Lists book but I can't share any pictures yet because I'm never home during the daytime when there's natural light. And the lights in my room distort the colors...
I'll share pictures of my dorm room as soon as my quilt arrives. It already feels much more comfortable than in the beginning :)
