It's been super hot the past days and I've enjoyed every minute of it. After what seems like months of rain it's so good to feel the sun on my skin. Lots of thrifting, baking, cleaning and meeting friends around here.

I got a super cute Pfaff 90 sewing machine at a thrift store for 25 euros! YAY. It has a huge table, lots and lots of spools, tools, feet, etc. It took some major adjustments to get it to sew properly (apparently the last person who attempted to use it didn't know anything about sewing machines.) but now it sews like a dream. Except that after about five minutes of sewing there was lots and lots of smoke from the motor and it made funny noises :( I'll have a mechanic check it out this week and hopefully it won't cost a fortune to have it fixed.

I also thrifted some cute bowls and a kitchen!!! Yay, I'm beyond excited that I got a complete kitchen (sink, cabinets, oven, stove, even a dishwasher!!) for about 1/5 of what I expected to spend. Now I just have to invest some money in cleaning products because the kitchen looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in five years :(

Thrifty Nifty: Polaroid

Yesterday, I found this beauty:

My Polaroid :)

She's a red/black Polaroid Supercolor!

It was love at first sight. Luckily, the woman in the thrift store had no idea what the black plastic thingy was that I held in my hand. So i got it for two euros. TWO!!

It seems to work fine, although I don't have any film yet. Guess I'll have to buy one pack of those super-duper expensive Impossible Films. But this moment is soo worth it:

I love watching the picture 'come to life'. It's so magical! One day I wanna learn how to develop my own films, too! :)
